A lot's been made of Landon Donovan not making the 2014 USMNT World Cup squad. I for one think it's fine. Klinsmann has been watching more football than any of us over the years and he knows what he's doing. He didn't see what he needed to.

Besides, Donovan's form has been off for MLS. and as we all know, the World Cup is a much different beast than MLS. He hasn't played well since the Gold Cup. I mean, if you really look at it, it can't be too surprising. I'm not gonna be one of these guys saying his age is catching up or any of that. Regardless of age, he hasn't played well.

Donovan will go down for me as one of the best US international players, if not the best ever. It's sad to see one of your favorites go down and without one final blaze of glory(at least internationally), but that's just how it is sometimes.

Anywho, the UEFA Champions League final is tomorrow, and I'm picking(wanting) Real Madrid to take it home for their 10th all-time. I'm hoping to get to watch, but I highly doubt I will. I hope I'm able to read some good recaps on Monday.
