9 Years

Today marks 9 years since the passing of my Aunt Lisa Hackman. Not a day goes by where I don't think about her and miss her. It's hard to believe it's been 9 years, because it feels like only yesterday.

I hope she's proud of me. Lately, I've been thinking of all the things that have happened in my life that she hasn't gotten to enjoy. She won't get to meet my baby, and that makes me especially sad. I don't think there'll ever come a day where I don't hope that. 9 years and her memory still looms over me. I'm so thankful I got to know someone with such love, such heart. I should say, I know so many people with such love. I've been very blessed.

In closing, if you'd like, think about all the people in your life who make it so much more enjoyable. I know that's what I'll be doing to get through today.
